ENSURE ACCURACY, SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE
A machine that passes a visual check isn't necessarily one that's performing to specification. Output drift, inaccurate controls and failed safety systems are common in machines that have seen heavy use - and in many industries, operating non-compliant equipment is a safety and regulatory issue, not just a performance one.
At United Machinery Repairs, we carry out calibration and testing using NATA certified test equipment with results traceable to national measurement standards, giving you confidence in the accuracy of every result we produce. Whether you need output calibration following a repair, VRD testing before a machine goes to site, or full mine site compliance testing for an upcoming mobilisation, we carry out the work correctly and provide the documentation to back it up.
WELDING EQUIPMENT CALIBRATION
We provide calibration services for a wide range of welding equipment, ensuring correct output levels and consistent performance. Proper calibration helps maintain weld quality, reduces defects and ensures your equipment performs as intended.
All calibration is performed using NATA certified equipment with results traceable to national standards, giving you the confidence in the accuracy of the results.
VRD TESTING
Voltage Reduction Device (VRD) testing is essential for ensuring operator safety, particularly in high-risk environments - common across resources, offshore and civil construction. A VRD that isn't functioning correctly is a serious safety risk.
We carry out VRD testing across all machine types to confirm that your equipment meets safety requirements and operates within acceptable limits.
MINE SITE COMPLIANCE TESTING
Mine site compliance is one of the most common reasons customers bring equipment to us for testing. Most WA mine sites require welding machines to be tested and tagged before mobilisation - including output verification, VRD functionality and safety system confirmation. Failing to have documentation in order means equipment gets turned around at the gate.
We carry out the testing using NATA certified equipment and provide the paperwork so your machines are cleared for site before they leave Perth.
ELECTRICAL TEST AND TAG
Electrical testing and tagging is essential for ensuring welding equipment is electrically safe and compliant before returning to service or heading to site. Even a mechanically sound machine can present risks if insulation, earthing or RCD protection has deteriorated.
We carry out testing and tagging in accordance with AS/NZS 3760, covering insulation resistance, earth continuity, polarity and RCD checks. Each machine is clearly tagged so you know it meets electrical safety requirements and is ready for use.
